KBR will deliver FEED and related services aimed at optimising operational efficiency in the field. The work is part of KOC’s wider strategy to reinforce Kuwait’s energy security and invest towards long-term, sustained oil production.
According to the EIA, the development plan calls for drilling 14 to 30 production and water-injection wells; installing and operating subsea umbilical, riser, and flowline (SURF) equipment that will connect the FPSO to the wells; using an FPSO to process, store, and offload the recovered oil; and installing a 13-km gas export pipeline from the FPSO to a tie-in on the Gas to Energy pipeline. The EIA said subsea components are expected to be installed in 2028, with FPSO installation and commissioning expected the same year.
Subsea7 has been awarded a front-end engineering and design contract by ConocoPhillips Skandinavia for the Previously Produced Fields development project offshore Norway, Subsea7 said on Monday.
The new reserve was located at the Goktepe-3 well, situated 69 kilometres west of the Sakarya gasfield and 165 kilometres offshore, following 49 days of drilling by the high-tech vessel Abdulhamid Han. The well lies at a depth of 3,500 metres, and exploration began on March 27. The discovery, officially announced on May 16, is expected to meet the country’s residential natural gas demand for three and a half years.
SLB OneSubsea has won a contract to provide FEED for Equinor’s all-electric subsea project at a field offshore Norway, the SLB-Aker joint venture said on Thursday.
The Zama field partners have awarded French engineering company Doris a front-end engineering and design contract (FEED) for the development of the field.
