Subsea7 wins FEED study contract for ConocoPhillips project off Norway

Subsea7 has been awarded a front-end engineering and design contract by ConocoPhillips Skandinavia for the Previously Produced Fields development project offshore Norway, Subsea7 said on Monday.

The scope of the contract covers engineering studies to refine the technical solution and develop the execution plan and commercial model for a potential future EPCI contract. Project management and engineering work will commence immediately from Subsea7’s offices in Stavanger, Norway.

If the project proceeds to an FID, ConocoPhillips may award Subsea7 the subsea structures, umbilicals, risers and flowlines (SURF) scope in a contract valued at USD 300 million-500 million. Offshore installation activities associated with this contract would be scheduled for 2026-2029.

“Early engagement during the FEED phase allows for optimised solutions in terms of safety, cost-efficiency and sustainability. This project will be managed by our Stavanger office and we look forward to working closely with ConocoPhillips to mature the development,” Subsea7 vice-president for Norway Monica Th. Bjørkmann said.
