Nigeria’s ANOH gas plant selects Baker Hughes for lifecycle services

Baker Hughes has been awarded a long-term service agreement by ANOH Gas Processing Company for lifecycle and digital services at the ANOH Gas Processing Plant in Nigeria, Baker Hughes said on Tuesday.

The agreement covers maintenance, repairs, engineering advisory services and remote monitoring for critical turbomachinery equipment at the greenfield gas processing facility. Baker Hughes will also provide digital services to monitor equipment and operational performance.

The award expands a relationship established in 2019 when Baker Hughes supplied gas turbines, compressors and gears for an integrated power island for the project. The latest agreement includes support for the two gas turbines and will be delivered through the company’s service centre in Port Harcourt.

“It is a pleasure to collaborate with a globally trusted energy technology leader like Baker Hughes on this critical project,” said James Makinde, managing director of ANOH Gas Processing Company. “The reliable performance of critical turbomachinery equipment is essential to the successful operation of the ANOH Plant and to delivering on Nigeria’s domestic energy supply goals.”

The ANOH Gas Processing Plant is a joint venture between Seplat Energy and Nigerian Gas Infrastructure Company. It comprises two units with a capacity to process up to 150,000 mcf of gas per day, as well as LPG recovery and condensate stabilisation systems and a 16-MW power plant. It began delivering gas in January 2026.

Seplat Energy is a Nigerian independent energy company listed in Lagos and London. It focuses on oil and gas exploration and production, with three major gas processing facilities in Nigeria. It also aims to achieve net zero by 2050 and enhance domestic energy access.
