Vår Energi makes oil and gas discovery in Norwegian Sea

The discovery was made on the Vidsyn ridge, which has the potential to hold up to 100 million barrels of oil equivalent (MMboe) gross. The Vidsyn well confirms discovered recoverable resources in the range of 25 to 40 MMboe gross, which are considered commercial. The remaining potential of the ridge will be assessed through an appraisal program, to facilitate for a fast-track development.

GAIL Inks 10-Year LNG Supply Deal with Vitol

State-owned GAIL (India) Limited has signed a long-term liquefied natural gas (LNG) sales and purchase agreement with Vitol Asia Pte. Ltd. GAIL said in a media release that the deal for the supply of approximately 1 million tonnes per annum of LNG for 10 years resulted from a binding Term Sheet signed in January 2024.
