Saudi Arabia has restored full pumping capacity on its East-West Pipeline to about 7 million bopd after damage from attacks last week resulted in a 700,000-bopd loss in throughput, Reuters reported on Sunday.
The pipeline has become the country’s main export route following the closure of the Strait of Hormuz as a result of the US-Israeli war on Iran. The Saudi Ministry of Energy said other facilities hit during the conflict had also recovered operational capacity.
Output losses have been reversed at the Manifa oilfield, where attacks had caused a reduction in production of about 300,000 bopd, while work was continuing to restore output at the Khurais oilfield, where strikes have reduced capacity by a further 300,000 bopd.
