Petronas said in a media release the event marked a significant milestone in Sabah’s energy growth with the official handover of the Sabah Gas Strategy, a project led jointly by Petronas and the state government. Guided by the Sabah Joint Coordination Committee, the strategy was crafted by a Joint Task Force including Petronas, SMJ Energy Sdn. Bhd., Sabah Energy Corp. Sdn. Bhd., the Energy Commission of Sabah, and the Ministry of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship.
“Our emerging partnership with Corcel is emblematic of our strategy to work with best-in-class partners and deploy high-impact capital that brings us exposure to large potential resource outcomes that require little additional capital. We look forward to the expansion of our West African conjugate margin exposure through KON-16, one of the most promising blocks in a proven, underexplored basin,” said Sintana CEO Robert Bose.
In a courtesy meeting with the newly appointed Minister of Energy and Green Transition, Dr John A. Jinapor, AETC Founder and President, Emelia Akumah, along with Board member Tony Burkson, engaged in discussions with the Minister, his Deputy Richard Gyan-Mensah( Designate), and the Chief Director Mrs Wilhelmina Asamoah.
