The contract includes a carbon steel pipeline and installation of subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines for the Alum, Bemban and Permai deepwater fields to supply additional gas to the PFLNG DUA facility.
Phase 1 of the Monkey Island LNG facility includes three LNG trains with a capacity of 5.2 million metric tons per annum (MMtpa) each and a combined production of 15.6 MMtpa. Expansion plans include two additional LNG trains, projected to bring total capacity to 26 MMtpa.
McDermott has been selected by Shell Global Solutions International for an enterprise framework agreement (EFA) for engineering, procurement and integrated project management team services, the company said on Wednesday.
The EFA has a duration of three years with two one-year optional extensions. The agreement covers McDermott’s full range of services across its low-carbon solutions, offshore Middle East and subsea and floating facilities business lines.
McDermott has completed engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning (EPCIC) activities in the Gulf of Mexico for Shell, enabling oil production at its Whale development, the company said on Thursday.
