Empowering Communities for Green Energy: A multi-faith and CSOs engagement on Ghana’s energy transition agenda and implementation framework

GreenFaith Ghana, together with KASA Initiative Ghana, collaborated with the Ministry Energy and Green Transition to lead a comprehensive successful engagements with Faith leaders and members of civil society organisations across three key locations in the Western (Takoradi and Ellembelle district) and Central Region (Cape Coast) of Ghana to provide an understanding on Ghana’s frameworks on Energy and Green Transition agenda, how it affects them and the entry points for them especially people faith leaders in these discussions.

Clear existing obstacles for private sector to inject funds for clean energy transition

The shift from fossil fuels to clean renewable energy as the corner stone to the global energy transition has been at the tip of governments’ policy discussions across Africa and the world, with developed countries investing massively in renewable energy as part of efforts by their respective government’s energy security and climate action goals (ESI Africa, 2021).
