The Orca development, formerly known as Gato do Mato, is expected to begin drilling in April 2027 and will require an estimated 12,000-15,000 tonnes of pipe for 10 planned wells.
Vallourec will also deliver engineering support, logistics, offshore supervision and equipment repair services to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risks. Shell expects first production from the gas-condensate discovery in 2029.
