Norway’s Shearwater Geoservices has received a letter of award from India’s state-owned Oil & Natural Gas Corporation for a large 3D seismic survey off the east coast of India.
The high-capacity survey vessel Oceanic Sirius will acquire the seismic, covering an area of approximately 2200 square kilometres, which is expected to take approximately four months, commencing early in 2025.
Irene Waage Basili, Shearwater, chief executive, said: “Our expertise in 3D seismic acquisition, combined with our track-record of eight consecutive seasons of India operations, ensures that we are well positioned to deliver data in line with our clients exploration needs, while maintaining sustainable margins.”
