Seatrium completes Borr Drilling order with fifth rig

Singapore’s Seatrium Limited has delivered the newbuild jackup rig Var to Borr Drilling, Seatrium announced on Friday.

The drill is the fifth and last of a series of class B jackup rigs that Seatrium has built for Bor Drilling. The first three were delivered in 2022 and 2023 and novated by Borr to ADNOC Drilling, while the fourth was delivered in August 2024.

Var is a KFELS Super B Class jackup rig designed to operate in water depths of up to 122 metres (400 feet) and drill down to depths of up to 10,668 metres (35,000 feet). The rig has a cantilever structure capable of handling combined loads of up to 3,700 kips and can drill both vertically and horizontally.
