According to Galushchenko, this attack may have an impact not only on the energy system of Ukraine, but also on the energy systems of some neighbouring countries.
Today, November 15, Russia carried out the most massive shelling of the energy system of Ukraine since the beginning of the war.
“Today, again, Russia is launching large-scale missile attacks on energy facilities. This is the most massive shelling of the energy system since the beginning of the war,” Energy Minister German Galushchenko wrote on Facebook.
According to Galushchenko, this attack may have an impact not only on Ukraine’s energy system but also on some neighboring countries’ energy systems.
“The hits occur throughout the entire Ukrainian energy system: both on generating facilities and on the power transmission system,” the minister said, adding that emergency shutdowns had been introduced.
The head of the Ministry of Energy noted that after defeats in the military and international arenas, the enemy is making another attempt at terrorist revenge and is trying to inflict maximum damage on our energy system on the eve of winter.
“I ask everyone to treat the critical situation with energy supply with understanding, to remain calm and trust the power engineers and the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” he added.
