Exxon confirms end of maintenance at Joliet, Illinois refinery

–U.S. oil major Exxon Mobil’s 250,000 barrel-per-day Joliet refinery in Illinois completed planned maintenance and is in the process of restarting operations, a spokesperson confirmed on Wednesday.

“We continue to meet customer commitments,” the Exxon spokesperson said. Industry sources had told Reuters on Tuesday about the restart of the refinery, which mainly processes Canadian crude oil and pumps out around 9 million gallons a day of gasoline and diesel.
