Blackline Safety secures landmark ADNOC deal for 28,000 detectors in UAE

Blackline Safety has secured a multi-year agreement with ADNOC for up to 28,000 connected gas detectors, a breakthrough deal with one of the world’s largest energy producers, the company said on Thursday.

The initial order includes around 1,000 G6 single-gas detectors and 1,200 Blackline Location Beacons, supported by four years of service. The deal was won through UAE channel partner Al Masaood.

The agreement represents a major milestone for Canada’s Blackline Safety, a growing connected safety tech firm, and reinforces ADNOC’s rigorous focus on worker safety across its extensive energy operations.

“This first order under the new agreement with ADNOC is an important milestone in our multi-year growth strategy in the Middle East,” Blackline Safety vice-president Andrea Lamond said.

The G6 detector delivers real-time hazard alerts and worker location tracking, while Blackline’s Location Beacons ensure signal precision inside complex facilities. ADNOC produces over 4 million bopd and large volumes of natural gas.

Blackline’s presence in the Middle East has expanded steadily over the past three years, with deployments at leading regional energy firms. The ADNOC deal further establishes its position as a trusted safety partner in critical energy environments.

Blackline Safety is a Calgary-based technology company focused on connected safety for industrial workers. Its solutions combine wearable gas detectors, cloud-connected software and live monitoring to reduce incidents and improve productivity. Blackline supports customers in more than 75 countries and has logged over 286 billion data-points globally.
