Viridien has started the first phase of its Guyana legacy 3D reimaging project, covering more than 10,000 sq km of existing 3D seismic data from the Kaieteur, Georgetown, Kanuku and Corentyne surveys. Early-out results are expected in the first quarter of 2027.
The project aims to give a clearer picture of the subsurface updip of the Stabroek Block and across Guyana’s open shallow-water acreage. Combined with new 3D data, the reimaged surveys will form a continuous regional dataset of more than 14,000 sq km. Viridien said this will help explorers evaluate emerging plays, infrastructure-led opportunities and future licensing potential offshore Guyana.
Viridien holds exclusive access and commercialization rights to the legacy datasets.
