Delfin inks long-term LNG offtake deal with Gunvor

Delfin Midstream has signed a long-term agreement with Gunvor International for the supply of LNG from its deepwater export facility in the US Gulf, Delfin announced on Wednesday.

Under the terms of the deal, Delfin will supply 300,000 tonnes per year (tpy) of LNG to Gunvor for a period of 20 years, with volumes delivered on a free-on-board basis from the Delfin FLNG facility about 74 kilometres off the coast of Louisiana.

“We look forward to building on our longstanding partnership with Gunvor as we continue to advance the development of critical energy infrastructure in the U.S. This additional agreement further highlights our strength as a dependable long-term supplier of clean and scalable LNG solutions,” said Dudley Poston, CEO of Delfin.

The agreement is the latest in a series of long-term LNG supply and purchase agreements tied to the facility.

Delfin LNG is a brownfield deepwater port project linked to the UTOS natural gas pipeline, which Delfin acquired in 2014. It is designed to support up to three FLNG vessels producing up to 13.2 million tpy of LNG.
