Ghana has launched the Green Cooling Project, a bold initiative aimed at cutting emissions and promoting sustainable air conditioning across the country. The project, funded by Switzerland’s KliK Foundation and implemented by GIZ in collaboration with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), seeks to make climate-friendly cooling affordable and energy-efficient for households.
In the first half of this year, Weatherford’s revenues from its Russian operations rose to 7% of the total $2.4 billion, from 5% of the total for the first six months of 2024, the report said, noting the oilfield service provider generated some $332 million in cash and assets in Russia as of end-June this year. That was up from $233 million a year earlier.
According to the data, Nayara Energy has imported at least seven cargos of Russian crude on tankers that include sanctioned vessels, carrying a total of 700,000 barrels. Nayara Energy accounts for some 8% of India’s total refining capacity. It operates a 400,000-bpd refinery in Vadinar, which is the second-largest in the country. The facility is 49% owned by Russia’s Rosneft.

Mendes, who began his career at ANP, resigned effective immediately, according to a Petrobras filing Wednesday. He is also Brazil’s oil and gas secretary at the Mines and Energy Ministry. His new appointment hasn’t yet been published in the official gazette.
Norwegian oil and gas producers are spending billions to squeeze output from the country’s mature continental shelf. While exports have dropped from what they were in the early 2000s, July crude loadings from the country were forecast to reached the most since at least 2012, according to consultant FGE NexantECA.
For the first time, the IBP study consolidates the various revenue sources generated by the sector, including ICMS, government takes (royalties and special participations), signature bonuses, the Federal Government’s profit-oil under production sharing contracts, and general federal taxes such as PIS/Cofins, CSLL, and Corporate Income Tax (IRPJ), all of which apply across the value chain.
